Rich Skelton, world champion team roping heeler, has earned over $2 million ( U.S. ) thus far in his career. Competing in nearly every state in the United States , Rich, along with long time roping partner (header) Speed Williams, won the 2004 National Finals Rodeo, setting a record for the number of consecutive world team roping titles.

Became the ninth cowboy to cross the $2 million mark in career earnings.

2005 Highlights
The 2005 Wrangler NFR marked the final time that Speed Williams and Rich would rope together.  Won the eighth round by tying the then arena record of 3.7 seconds and won the 10th round with a 3.9-second run. Placed in three other rounds to end their record eight year run of world titles; won the Horse Heaven Round-up  (Kennewick, Wash.), the Days of '47 Rodeo (Salt Lake City), the Home of the Champions (Red Lodge, Mont.), and the SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo (Odessa,Texas).  Finished the year seventh in the team roping world standings with $112,923, 24th in the world with $12,422 and 10th in the all-around with $125,445.

2004 Highlights
Won their eighth consecutive team roping world title setting a record for consecutive and most world titles (1997-2004). Placed in five out of 10 rounds winning Rd. 1 with a 4.2-second run, Rd. 5 in 4.4 seconds and tied for the round win in Rd. 9 with a 3.8-second run.
Won Parker County Sheriff's Posse Frontier Days Rodeo ( Weatherford , Texas ).
Won the Oakley ( Utah ) Independence Day Rodeo.
Won World's 'Oldest' Rodeo Prescott ( Ariz. ) Frontier Days.
Won Rodeo Austin ( Texas ).
Won aggregate title at the Days of '47 Rodeo ( Salt Lake City ).
Won title at the Caldwell ( Idaho ) Rodeo.
Won Colorado State Fair ( Pueblo ).
Won at Lewiston ( Idaho ) Round-Up.
Finished fourth at the Pace Challenge ( Omaha , Neb. ).

2002 — (partner Speed Williams) Won sixth consecutive world title setting a PRCA record; won silver medallion at Olympic Command Performance Rodeo (Farmington, Utah); regular-season team roping earnings leader; won team roping titles at San Angelo (Texas) Stock Show & Rodeo, Lea County Fair & Rodeo (Lovington, N.M.), Molalla (Ore.) Buckaroo Rodeo, and Lewiston (Idaho) Round-up; finished 29th in steer roping and seventh in the all-around.
2001 — Won (with Speed Williams) team roping title at Copenhagen Cup Finale (Dallas); won Wrangler NFR average title; won team roping titles at Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo (Pocatello, Idaho) and Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo (Colorado Springs, Colo.).
2000 — Winter Wrangler ProRodeo team roping points leader (with Speed Williams); set PRCA team roping regular-season earnings record with $110,626 each; won team roping titles at Reno (Nev.) Rodeo, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo (Rapid City, S.D.).
1999 — Set PRCA team roping heeling standings earnings record with $172,385 and set the NFR team roping earnings record (with Speed Williams) $94,109 each; won team roping titles at Laughlin (Nev.) River Stampede, Old Fort Days Rodeo (Fort Smith, Ark.) and West of the Pecos (Texas) Rodeo.
1998 — Tied NFR team roping arena record of 3.8 seconds (with Speed Williams); won team roping title at California Rodeo Salinas.
1997 — Won (with Tee Woolman) team roping title at Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo ( Pocatello , Idaho ); won (with Speed Williams) team roping title at Pendleton ( Ore. ) Round-Up.
